Avoid Bread and Processed Sugar

This week’s healthy habit is not fun at all — it definitely will be tough for me — and that is to avoid bread and processed sugar. During this quarantine, I had gotten away from this healthy habit and allowed myself to indulge. But enough is enough, I say.  Are you with me?

Spend this week concentrating on a healthy diet of greens, beans and lentils, and protein. I realize that finding all the ingredients to a healthy diet has been tougher to find during this time, but it seems as if stores and online delivery systems are getting better. Do what you can.  This diet will keep us healthy(ier), which is especially important these days.

Instead of bread, you can cook with almond flour or prepare sandwiches wedged between leaves of lettuce. Blueberries are especially healthy and filled with antioxidants. For your sweet tooth, you can eat them in greek yogurt, which does have natural sugar (but not added sugar).
