STRETCH

This week’s healthy habit is to S-T-R-E-T-C-H.  Spend a brief part of your morning stretching — your legs, arms, shoulders.  Extend your arms, reach for the sky, roll your shoulders and back. It does wonders.  And feels so good to do.

Truth be told, my body is not what it used to be (ha, ha — in more ways than one) and stretching helps with all the aches and pains that have, unfortunately, become a regular part of my day. For me, it helps strengthen my posture and is a great stress relief as well.

You can make this your one minute habit (Form a ONE Minute Habit) or as a prelude to when you Meditate.  It is also beneficial to do when you’ve been sitting at a computer for a long period of time (stretch breaks are great).

Enjoy your week!

[Every Monday, a new ‘habit’ will be posted as part of my Bright Light Living Healthy Habits series. These ‘Healthy Habits’ encompass habits for the mind, body, spirit, and one’s perspective of life—in order to LIVE BRIGHT.  You may wish to implement the habits each week (if so, I encourage you to download the Healthy Habits Assessment form). Or, the week’s habit can simply serve as a journal prompt or something to ponder.  It’s up to you. I do hope you will check in each week.]
