This week’s Healthy Habit is simple, but maybe not so simple . . . go to bed by 10 p.m. And if you don’t think that is early enough for you, then adjust the timing to meet your schedule. You body’s schedule.
What this means is that the electronics are off. No browsing social media on your phone, no playing mindless video games, no reading or watching TV.
You can do all of the above as a means to wind down — that is, if it aids in this process rather than stresses you out.
SLEEP — QUALITY SLEEP — is so necessary for a productive day and a healthy body. And as someone who has been abusing the time clock, I have committed myself to this week’s habit. (Do you hear that, family?)
As I drag myself to work this morning, I am making a vow to implement this habit. I am sooo tired.
So, yes, I am now accountable (“voicing” this pledge has deemed it so). How about you? Are you in?
[EVERY MONDAY, A NEW ‘HABIT’ WILL BE POSTED AS PART OF MY BRIGHT LIGHT LIVING HEALTHY HABITS SERIES. THESE ‘HEALTHY HABITS’ ENCOMPASS HABITS FOR THE MIND, BODY, SPIRIT, AND ONE’S PERSPECTIVE OF LIFE—IN ORDER TO LIVE BRIGHT. YOU MAY WISH TO IMPLEMENT THE HABITS EACH WEEK (IF SO, I ENCOURAGE YOU TO DOWNLOAD THE HEALTHY HABITS ASSESSMENT FORM). OR, THE WEEK’S HABIT CAN SIMPLY SERVE AS A JOURNAL PROMPT OR SOMETHING TO PONDER. IT’S UP TO YOU. I DO HOPE YOU WILL CHECK IN EACH WEEK.]
