Has it felt as if COVID has taken you hostage?
I know that in many ways, it has for me. And the reason – well there are many – is the lack of CONTROL that accompanies it. I do not have the power to make the virus go away, as much as I wish I could. Sure, we are doing are part in taking safety precautions, but the virus is still here, causing people to get sick, forcing businesses to close, and trickling down its effects to all.
Without devaluing the devastation of COVID, I will stress this: While we may not be able to control the situation, we can CONTROL how we react to it. Some days, this is easier to remember than others.
That doesn’t mean it will be smooth sailing, BUT it is important that we CLAIM (or reclaim) our lives—our mindset, physical well-being, relationships, personal goals, and even daily habits and practices. This even includes our organization systems and de-cluttering our homes. (We did some of that this weekend and it gave me a sense of control and helped “de-clutter my brain”. )
Commit yourself to RECLAIMING YOUR LIFE. Use the “Healthy Habits for Bright Light Living” as a starting point. Determine the areas that you would like to focus. And START TODAY. . .
Enough is enough.
