Get Moving

Tips for Living Bright 05/15: GET MOVING

It’s overcast, your body is achy, you’re feeling lazy, and exercise is the last thing that you want to do.

So what should you do?

DO IT ANYWAY!

It’s so easy to give your body a pass. And if you do, you may find yourself feeling even more down in the dumps.

GET UP:  Rip that bandaid off and just get up. There’s a reason Nike’s slogan took hold so strongly: JUST DO IT.

No excuses.

Plantars fascitis kicking in? Stretch.
Don’t have time? Throw in 10 minutes of jumping jacks, squats, and planks.
Need some bonding time with your spouse or family? Go for a walk together.
In a blah mood? Put on some music and dance.

Trust me, getting up and starting IS THE HARDEST PART.

But once you’re exercising, you will feel better.

You’ll feel more energized and invigorated.

You’ll feel better about your body.

You’ll gain mental clarity.

You’ll feel lighter and happier!

Again, sometimes it’s just a matter of ripping off the bandaid, not thinking about it too much, and just doing it before excuses get in the way.
