MAKE YOUR BED EVERY MORNING
Start your day off on the right foot with a freshly made bed. This one simple habit can set your course for the day. Within minutes, you have already been productive. It also helps prevent you — especially on those lazy weekends — from climbing back in and going back to sleep. Once that bed is made, you are committed to the day—and prepared to tackle it head-on.
Making the bed every morning can also reduce stress. The site of a freshly-made bed can actually calm you down and help you feel more relaxed—both in the morning and at night when you are about to climb in it. Rather than tugging with the covers or being tangled in a bundle of blankets and sheets, a made bed can help provide a soothing night of sleep.
[Every Monday, I’ll share the “Just One Thing” to work on for the week. It will be something small and doable, but this small thing, if done consistently, can turn into a habit. Take the challenge: try it for a day, and then another day, and then . . . see how long you can keep your streak going.]
